The Makaton Taster is designed to raise awareness of Makaton and to help people understand what Makaton is, who uses it, and how they can learn it. 

Level 1 Workshop is the starting point for your Makaton journey. 
Level 1 training provides a practical introduction to the Makaton Commubnication Programme and a wider understanding of learning and communication difficulties.
Online workshops comprise of a minimum of seven learning hours. Workshop durations will be longer if your Workshop is ran over a number of days. Workshop content can be delivered flexibly, and is often provided in two to four sessions on one or more days.
There is no entry criteria for this Workshop.
You will receive a Participant's Manual, which includes the Makaton symbols and signs that you learn in the workshop.

You will also be given a certificate of attendance.  Please remember to keep your Level 1 training certificate in case you want to attend further Makaton training.

This event lasts 6.5 hours and builds on Level 1. It covers additional everyday vocabulary, including verbs, adjectives, and practical scenarios for their usage.
